One of the largest health systems in the county will now have access to real-time electronic patient data to better serve communities

LOS ANGELES – Los Angeles Network for Enhanced Services (LANES), the leading health information exchange for Los Angeles County, has announced an important Data Exchange Participation Agreement with Prospect Medical Holdings Alta Hospitals System. Prospect Medical Holdings Alta Hospitals System serve the communities of Van Nuys, East Los Angeles, Norwalk, and Hollywood.
“With LANES, Alta Hospitals System providers will be able to access electronic health records for patients and help improve clinical outcomes,” said Ali Modaressi, LANES Chief Executive Officer. “We are very excited to onboard Alta and we look forward to helping them achieve their strategic goals.”
Health care organizations have spent millions of dollars installing and implementing electronic health record technologies, but many of these systems are not able to talk to each other. LANES technology is a catalyst in changing that by aggregating data from disparate systems.
Through this new partnership, Prospect Medical Holdings Alta Hospitals System will be able to safely and securely exchange patient medical records with any organization on the LANES system, which will help improve care coordination, reduce duplicative treatments while helping to avoid costly mistakes. Ultimately, it will lead to better health outcomes and improved health for the residents of Los Angeles County.
